Greek Canadian Community: Greek Independence Day Parade

Greek Independence Day is observed globally, and we are honored to continue the legacy of our Greek and Philhellenic forefathers

Newsroom March 7 04:25

The Greek Canadian Community will celebrate Greek Independence Day with a vibrant parade in Toronto’s historic Greektown on Sunday, April 6, 2025, at 1:30 PM.

Greek Independence Day is observed globally, and we are honored to continue the legacy of our Greek and Philhellenic forefathers. This celebration welcomes everyone, with a special emphasis on our children, who are the stewards of our traditions and the future guardians of these cherished ideals.

The parade will showcase Greek schools, traditional dance groups in ethnic attire, federations, associations, and Orthodox clergy from the Greater Toronto area. The parade route will proceed from the intersection of Danforth Ave and Donlands Ave to Danforth Ave and Broadview Ave.

Groups wishing to participate in the parade are required to complete the form provided below.

Mandatory Participation Fees:

– Federations with active GCT membership: $1,000
– Private Schools: $500
– Associations with active GCT membership: $200
– Greek-Canadian Communities, Churches, and other associations:$200
