Minister Adonis Georgiadis described the NEHR as a revolution for Health, highlighting the contribution to it of the Minister of Digital Governance, Mr. Dimitris Papastergiou and the Deputy Minister of Health, Mrs. Irini Agapidaki. The NEHR has already been put into operation and citizens who had access to the myHealth App will now be able to access an ever-increasing volume of data regarding their health and their movement within the Health system.

According to what was presented, data has already been included in two previous time phases, and the third is now being completed by the end of the year. Indicatively, patient registries, treatment protocols, medical prescriptions, referrals, imaging tests, medical certificates, vaccinations, as well as appointment scheduling have been entered into the EHF.

The next phase, which is underway now, will include data on the closed hospitalization of citizens in health units, tumor registries, High Cost Drugs (HCM), and data on disability. In particular, with regard to disability, the changes will be drastic, as the new system with the EHF will launch the abolition of KEPA and in-person certification of disability. The entirety of this huge digital project will be delivered to citizens and doctors in early 2026.
