The investigation by the Greek Police (EL.AS.) is ongoing to locate and arrest the man who, according to a 43-year-old Roma woman, abducted a baby yesterday from a supermarket in Alimos.

The suspect is described as a dark-haired man, aged between 35 and 40, who is currently being sought. Protothema.gr has obtained and presents photos showing the man holding the baby inside the supermarket.

Photographic evidence shows the man holding the 6-month-old baby in a supermarket in Alimos.

According to the child’s grandmother, she approached the man who asked her to enter the supermarket so he could buy items for the baby. She handed him the child, and he then took the baby and disappeared. The baby was eventually found a few hours later by a citizen in Alimos.

Meanwhile, the grandmother of the baby has been found guilty and will remain in prison for three months.

The decision was made by a magistrate court, before which the woman, accused of endangering a minor, appeared. The court sentenced her to a total of two years in prison but ordered the partial execution of the sentence, which was set at three months. The court also decided to suspend the remainder of the sentence for three years.
