“I will shoot them, that’s what they need” – The post that led to the arrest of the 42-year-old with swords, axes, crossbows and 117 knives

The accused posted comments on social media against police officers

A post on Facebook directed at police officers was what led to the arrest of the 42-year-old in Chania, who, it later turned out, kept an entire gunsmith shop in his home.

As the protothema.gr report shows, the accused posted comments on social media against police officers, as well as a video in which he referred to police officers who were gathered at a certain point in the city of Chania, stating that “he will fire a shot and shoot them” because that is what they need.

A search of his home followed, which took place yesterday, Wednesday (18/6), with police officers locating an entire arsenal.

More specifically, found and seized:

– Two dynamite bombs.

– Five swords.

– 107 axes.

– 117 knives (116 military-type and 61 folding knives)

– Four air guns.

– Three air pistols.

– Three bows, three crossbows, 24 machetes, 51 arrows.

– One barrel with obvious signs of oxidation along its length, unnumbered.

– Six scopes.

– Four bats.

– One below inside, which there are nine needles.

– A spear of a black color about two meters long, on which there was a black knife attached.

– Four magazines.

– 741 cartridges of various calibres.

– Nine “shuriken”

– Three folding iron truncheons.

– Two slingshots.

– One rattle.

All the above weapons and cartridges were incompletely stored in bedroom wardrobes without being secured.
