Tens of thousands of people are expected to gather in London today in response to Tommy Robinson‘s call for a rally “in support of freedom of expression.”

“March for your country, march for freedom, march for your children, march for Charlie Kirk,” Robinson wrote in a post on platform X, referring to the murder of conservative activist and staunch supporter of US President Donald Trump.

Tommy Robinson, 42, whose real name is Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, is known for his anti-immigrant and anti-Islamic views and has been convicted several times for his views.

The rally is scheduled for 10am (local time, 13:00 in Greece) and will be followed by a march to Whitehall. Organizers have announced the presence of several personalities from the right, including Steve Bannon, a former adviser to US President Donald Trump. The leader of the French party “Reconquista”, Eric Jemour, has confirmed that he will be there.

London authorities have announced that more than 1,000 police officers will be mobilized to prevent any riots.
