Nikos Dendias will speak at Cambridge University for the 9th Greek-British Symposium

As part of his visit, the Minister will also attend a briefing at the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) Centre

Greek Minister of National Defence, Nikos Dendias, is travelling to the United Kingdom, where he will be the keynote speaker on the morning of Friday, October 10, 2025, at the opening of the 9th Greek-British Symposium at the University of Cambridge (Jesus College), under the theme: “Greece and the United Kingdom – partners in an age of uncertainty.”

During his visit, Mr. Dendias will attend a briefing at the UK Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) Centre, regarding the Centre’s role in ensuring maritime security and supporting commercial vessels in high-risk areas.

While in the UK, the Minister is also expected to visit the Imperial War Museum in Duxford and the National Museum of the Royal Navy in Portsmouth, as part of the collaboration between the Greek War Museum and British war museums.

In Portsmouth, Mr. Dendias will also visit the Normandy Memorial Wall, where he will lay a wreath and attend a ceremony in honor of the Greek naval officers who participated in the D-Day landings.

Finally, during his visit to the United Kingdom, the Greek Minister will hold meetings with academic institutions and representatives of start-up companies active in the fields of innovation and artificial intelligence, particularly in matters related to security and defense.
