A Roma father from Sofades, Karditsa, Vaios, dared to go against everything. He grew up under the strict, unwritten rules of his community but chose not to follow them.

He did not betroth his daughters as children and did not submit to customs that have trapped generations. Instead of tradition, he chose education. Instead of silence, he chose freedom. The favorite videographer of Roma weddings speaks to the show’s camera about everything he has witnessed behind the lens: the lavish gifts, the misunderstandings, and the “Gypsy sasmos” (customary reconciliations) that even resolve divorces.

At the same time, he supports the policing of settlements and explains why, offering a different perspective on the future of Roma communities. He also reveals that he himself has been a victim of theft by other Roma. Through his story, a new reality quietly emerges within the settlements, where some Roma decide to change their future.
