Newsroom November 11 11:58

Greece was once again among the big winners at the 2025 Travvy Awards, the prestigious honors widely regarded as the “Oscars” of the U.S. travel industry.

At this year’s ceremony, Greece received:

  • Gold in the category Best Destination – Mediterranean
  • Gold in the category Best Cruise Destination – Europe
  • Silver in the category Best Destination – Europe

Meanwhile, the Greek National Tourism Organization (GNTO) earned the 🥉 Bronze Award for Best Tourism Board – Europe.

According to an official announcement, these awards reflect the continued trust, appreciation, and preference of the international travel community for Greece as a leading global destination — recognized for its high-quality infrastructure, hospitality, safety, and authentic experiences.

Organized annually by TravelPulse and the Northstar Travel Group, the Travvy Awards are among the most significant events in global tourism. Winners are selected through voting by professional travel advisors and industry representatives from around the world.

The 2025 award ceremony took place on Thursday, November 6, at the Fort Lauderdale Convention Center. The Greek honors were received by Konstantinos Charokopos, Head of the GNTO Office for North America, and Faye Georgousi, a senior GNTO officer.

Following the ceremony, Mr. Charokopos stated:
