The Prime Minister briefly described the measures of the Budget that was passed yesterday, emphasizing that the government is achieving surpluses thanks to economic growth and is returning part of them to society. Subsequently, the Prime Minister will welcome members of the New Democracy Parliamentary Group at 13:00 at the Maximos Mansion.

The meeting takes place in the aftermath of the approval of the state budget for 2026, and against the backdrop of the tensions the agricultural issue has caused within New Democracy, as especially MPs from rural constituencies are coming under pressure from local communities while the protests continue.

Later, Mr. Mitsotakis will travel to Brussels, where he will take part in the EU–Western Balkans Summit. On Thursday, the Prime Minister will participate in the proceedings of the European Council Summit.
