Interview poll: Pierrakakis, Dendias, Georgiades the most active ministers, Karystianou ahead of Tsipras

New Democracy is first in the election result estimation with a 15-point difference from the second PASOK

In a recent interview for Politic.gr, prominent figures, including Alexis Tsipras and Maria Karystianou, discussed an outcome, the most active ministers, and voter preferences among political parties.

Respondents named Finance Minister Christos Staikouras (20.5%) as the most active minister, followed by Defence Minister Nikos Dendias (18%), and Health Minister Thanos Plevris (13.2%). Next were Deputy Minister of Transport Konstantinos Kyranakis (6.3%), Minister of Citizen Protection Michalis Chrysochoidis (3.4%), Minister of Justice Giorgos Floridis (2.4%), and Deputy Education Minister Sofia Zacharaki (2.2%).

 

The poll further reflects New Democracy’s clear lead at 29.4%, with PASOK trailing at 14.8%, and the Freedom Movement securing 10.4%. They are followed by Hellenic Solution at 8.3%, the Communist Party of Greece (KKE) at 6.1%, Voice of Reason at 4.7%, MeRA25 at 4.5%, Movement for Democracy at 4.2%, and SYRIZA at 4%.

When asked which party they would vote for if elections were held next Sunday, respondents answered:

  • New Democracy: 23.2%
  • PASOK: 11.6%
  • Freedom Movement: 8.2%
  • Hellenic Solution: 6.6%
  • KKE: 5.0%
  • Voice of Reason: 3.7%
  • MeRA25: 3.3%
  • Movement for Democracy: 3.2%
  • SYRIZA: 3.0%
  • NIKI: 1.1%
  • New Left: 1.1%
  • Undecided: 21.6%

Regarding trust in political leaders to govern the country, Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis leads with 28.6%, followed by PASOK leader Nikos Androulakis at 9.4%, Zoe Konstantopoulou at 8.9%, Kyriakos Velopoulos (Hellenic Solution) at 6.3%, Stefanos Kasselakis (Movement for Democracy) at 4.9%, Dimitris Koutsoumpas (KKE) at 3.1%, and Socrates Famellos (SYRIZA) at 2%.

When asked which of the two rumored new political figures—Alexis Tsipras or Maria Karystianou—would perform better, 53% favored Karystianou, president of the Association of Victims of Tempi, while 23% supported the former prime minister Tsipras.

Finally, the poll highlighted key events of 2025, ranking the OPEKEPE scandal first, followed by the mass rallies for the Tempi tragedy, agricultural mobilizations, Greece’s hydrocarbon exploration energy agreements, and Christos Staikouras’ election as Eurogroup president.
