Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan announced that discussions are underway to set a date for a meeting between Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis in February.
“We are looking at possible dates,” the Turkish foreign minister said when asked by SKAI television.
Fidan stated that Turkey’s objective is to achieve a permanent resolution to issues in the Aegean Sea. He specifically referred to matters such as territorial waters and the continental shelf, adding that Ankara seeks to place broader foreign policy disputes “on hold” in order to focus on resolving these longstanding issues.
