Residents of Pangrati were surprised at midday on Thursday when they saw a fox moving freely through the neighborhood’s streets.
The wild animal wandered around the area, with passersby recording the incident and estimating that it was likely searching for food.
According to a post on social media, the fox appeared at the top of the staircase on Agras Street, just a short distance from Varnava Square. As noted, this is not the first time a fox has been seen in the area, although it is unclear whether it is the same animal.
In recent years, sightings of wild animals in urban areas have become increasingly common, as foxes—and in some cases even wild boars—approach residential neighborhoods in search of food.
