A meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and the US president’s special envoy, Steve Witkoff, is included in Putin’s official schedule, with the Kremlin confirming that the contact is expected to take place as planned on Thursday.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told the Russian news agency TASS that the meeting has already been added to the president’s schedule and that no changes are anticipated.
“We expect this contact tomorrow. It is in the president’s schedule, and it will take place tomorrow,” Peskov said, confirming the planned meeting.
Earlier, Steve Witkoff told the US television network CNBC that he expected to meet with the Russian president on Thursday.
