A new video has emerged showing Alex Pretty, the 37-year-old man killed by US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents in Minneapolis, involved in an altercation with agents from the same agency 11 days before he was shot dead.
The video, released by The News Movement, was recorded on January 13, a short distance from where Pretty was fatally shot by ICE agents on January 24.
In the footage, Pretty is first seen lashing out at federal agents. As they leave in a vehicle, he kicks the car, smashing the right rear taillight.
Following the kick, the agents return and try to arrest Pretty, throwing him to the ground, while using chemical agents to disperse other protesters.
Seconds later, the 37-year-old manages to break free, with the camera capturing what appears to be a gun a handgun in Pretty’s waistband.
Pretty’s family confirmed that he is the individual shown in the video.
