With sparkle, historic records, and surprising moments, the 2026 Grammy Awards once again confirmed their status as the top institution in the global music industry. This year’s ceremony had it all: from Kendrick Lamar’s record, the explosive opening with Bruno Mars and Rosé, to the unexpected award for Steven Spielberg, giving the audience unforgettable moments.
Lamar achieved a historic milestone at the event held on Sunday, February 1, at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, winning Best Rap Album for GNX. With this award, he became the most awarded hip-hop artist in Grammy history, surpassing Jay-Z, reaching a total of 26 Grammy Awards.
The acclaimed director Steven Spielberg won his first Grammy, taking the Best Music award for Music for John Williams, which he produced himself. With this achievement, the 79-year-old creator joined the prestigious EGOT club, having won an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony.

This year’s Album of the Year category also attracted special interest, with newcomers Leon Thomas, Clipse, and Tyler, the Creator competing with more established nominees like Bad Bunny, Justin Bieber, Sabrina Carpenter, Lady Gaga, and Kendrick Lamar. It’s worth noting that none of the eight nominees have won this award before.
Kendrick Lamar led the nominations this year with nine in total, followed by Lady Gaga with seven, alongside producers Jack Antonoff and Cirkut. In the Song of the Year category, nominees included Carpenter, Lady Gaga, Bruno Mars, Bad Bunny, and Billie Eilish, as well as Golden from the Korean movie Demon Hunters. Ultimately, Billie Eilish won the award for the song Wildflower.
Finally, Lola Young took home the Grammy for Best Pop Solo Performance with the song Messy, beating Justin Bieber (Daisies), Sabrina Carpenter (Manchild), Lady Gaga (Disease), and Chappell Roan (The Subway).
