20 Palestinians were killed today in the Gaza Strip by Israeli fire, including four children, health officials in the Palestinian enclave said in a new report.
Among the dead was a rescuer who rushed to help victims of a strike in Han Younis, in southern Gaza. He was killed when a second strike struck at the same location, officials noted.
Other strikes were launched in Gaza City, where health officials said a 5-month-old boy was killed.
The Israeli army said it launched strikes in Gaza after members of its forces came under fire that resulted in the serious injury of an officer.
