Kilauea Volcano erupted again: the lava jets reached 400 metres, see video

No residential areas were affected by the incident

Kīlauea volcano in Hawaii “woke up” once again in recent months, sending lava fountains soaring to great heights along with ash plumes.

The United States Geological Survey reported that the latest episode ended late Sunday (local time; Monday in Greece).

Both the northern and southern craters of the volcano were active for most of the event.

At the peak of the eruption, lava fountains in the southern crater reached heights of 350–400 meters, while the northern crater saw fountains up to 300 meters. Fine ash was also ejected southwest of the crater.

No residential areas were affected by the episode.
