Australian investors who want to build a luxury resort on the southern shores of Ithaca have already put forward their plan and posted the models of the project on the company’s website.

The ILIAD Resort, which is planned to be built in South Ithaca, will include villas, marinas with a possibility to accommodate cruise ships, luxurious houses for rent and many extra amenities for the popular and rich guests. The area now is completely unspoilt, but when the project is completed, it will look like a small “Monaco”!

Among other plans, it is scheduled to create a golf course, a marina to accommodate up to 200 yachts, a waterfront village and marina retail, six luxury residences and 1020 suites.

Companies with a great reputation in hotel management industry have already submitted proposals to take over the resort once the building tasks are completed. The completion date has not been defined yet, but according to information works on site are expected to begin as soon as possible.

The company itself says on its website: “The ILIAD Resort is situated in a coastal area on the mythical island of Ithaca and when completed it will be the largest master planned resort in the Greek islands.”

Ithaca has become one of the top destination of famous people who want to spend their holidays relaxing. Some of the Hollywood starts who visited Ithaca are Madonna , Naomi Campbell , Sarah Jessica Parker, but also Francois Hollande and Jean -Claude Juncker didn’t miss the chance to visit the beautiful island.
