Greece acquired its first two solar boats which will be used for leisure trips in the protected areas of Little Prespa and Great Prespa due to transnational project entitled “VESSEL GREEN / GREEN BOAT».

The tours to be made by the two vessels are estimated that they could contribute to strengthening the tourism product as well as contributing to the promotion of the region as a destination for alternative tourism.

The project “GREEN BOAT / GREEN BOAT» is one of the first projects of the Greece-Albania 2007-2013,with tangible and directly applicable results.

For this purpose, after all, this project was selected and presented as a best practice in the 1st European Conference of Territorial Cooperation, held in May in Thessaloniki, under the Greek Presidency of the EU Council.

The final event of the program will take place on the 30th of July, in the hall of the Municipal Council of the Municipality of Prespa, in the presence of representatives of local and regional bodies in the wider border in the region of Prespa.
