A counter-protest against the visit of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is underway at the Irene square in the city of Komotini. A crowd has gathered holding Greek flags and banners voicing its opposition to the visit of Mr. Erdogan to Thrace.
The Turkish President arrived in Komotini shortly beforehand and went straight to a Mosque for prayer.
