68-year-old Hollywood actor tied the knot in a secret ceremony

Newsroom April 23 07:58

Richard Gere is a married man! The actor got hitched to his Spanish girlfriend, Alejandra Silva, in early April.
According to Spain’s Hello! magazine, the 68-year-old Pretty Woman star and Silva, 35, tied the knot in a secret civil ceremony, and the happy couple plans to celebrate the news with loved ones in New York at a May 6 party.
This is the third marriage for Gere, who was with Cindy Crawford until their four-year marriage ended in 1995. After the supermodel, he was married to actress Carey Lowell from 2002 until they settled their divorce in 2016. They share a son, Homer, 17.
Silva, who has a 5-year-old boy, with her first husband, Govind Friedland, called it quits on her three-year marriage to the mining magnate in 2015.
Silva revealed to Hello! that she and Gere would now like to become parents together
“I was a little lost, without light, and knowing him gave meaning to my life,” Silva has said of her new spouse, who she began dating in 2014. “It was feeling that someone was reaching out and showing me my true path.”
