Guests at Creta Maris Beach Resort in Hersonissos, Crete can experience the local lifestyle of Crete by taking part in threshing wheat. The hotel’s visitors experienced this on August 22.

Historically, every family in the villages on Crete had its own threshing floor about 6-8 meters in diameter.

Guests were put to work and threshed wheat the traditional way, bearing in mind the customs and traditions of Crete.

Creta Maris Beach Resort, owned by the Metaxas Group of Companies, has been operating in the region since 1975. Apart from this threshing experience, the hotel offers other activities typically found at a family resort.
