President Donald Trump becomes 3rd President in history to be impeached

The President will stand trial before the Senate

The House of Representatives voted on Wednesday to impeach President Donald Trump on both articles of impeachment, abuse of power and obstruction of Congress. The vote followed weeks of testimony related to his dealings with Ukraine and hours of fiery debate over the process.

The House of Representatives, the majority of which belongs to the Democrats, decided by 230 and 229 votes respectively to support both articles of impeachment against the US president.
