US prepares Ukrainians for war with Russia – Military equipment and ammunition land in Kyiv

Moscow denies planning an attack.

Newsroom January 25 07:03

A US aircraft carrying military equipment and ammunition landed in Kyiv today, the third shipment of a $ 200 million security package in support of Ukraine, which is preparing for a possible Russian military strike.

“Our partners are increasing the scope of military assistance. And today we welcome the third aircraft from the US government as part of this assistance,” Ukrainian Defence Minister Oleksii Reznikov told reporters before landing.

The United States is a strong supporter of Ukraine in its efforts to thwart Russia, which has mobilised troops near the Ukrainian border. Moscow denies planning an attack.

The United States has released more than $ 650 million in security assistance to Ukraine last year and more than $ 2.7 billion in total since 2014, following the annexation of the Crimean peninsula by Russia.
