Cyprus: They buy drugs with…barcode – The post of the mayor of Paphos

The mayor of Paphos made serious allegations about drug trafficking in his city

Newsroom March 21 05:02

The mayor of Paphos, Phedon Phedonos, made serious allegations, through his personal account on facebook, regarding well organized drug trafficking even with the use of barcodes.

According to what he states in his post, Mr. Phedonos, the situation with drugs in the city of Paphos has gone out of control.

Mr. Phedonos even mentions the steps taken by a buyer and calls on those in charge to “wake up”.

As he says: “You scan the barcode and you can order whatever drugs you want. Then they tell you where to leave the money and they give you the location of your package”.

In fact, Phedon Phedonos is not the first time that publicly denounced the activities of drug traffickers in the Paphos District.

His post is as follows:

“Some people need to wake up in Paphos. Drug use is out of control. You scan the barcode and you can order whatever drugs you want. Then they tell you where to leave the money and they give you the location of your package. It is through the telegram platform. They know the dealers and some people allegedly use them to give them information. I call this inability if not to say anything worse (the image is distorted so that no one will have access)”.
