Greece officially protests to Turkish Ambassador regarding illegal overflights of Turkish F-16 jets

Turkish jets violated Greece's airspace multiple times over the Aegean Sea

Following the instructions of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nikos Dendias, the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Themistoklis Demiris, summoned the Turkish Ambassador to issue a formal diplomatic protest regarding the current overflights by Turkish F-16 fighter jets of Greek territory including the areas in the Aegean Sea of Samos, Lipsi, Arkios, Agathonisi, Fourni, Oinousses, Farmakonisi.

The Secretary-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs underlined that these actions are a violation of Greek sovereignty, constitute an unacceptable provocation, and are contrary to fundamental principles of International Law.
