The Turkish provocations over the Aegean continued for another day, with the Turkish fighters committing an unprecedented violation of the Greek FIR as they reached the point of approaching Alexandroupolis at a distance of only 2.5 nautical miles.

At the same time, Athens, in a harsh statement issued by the Foreign Ministry, speaks of “an unprecedented violation of national sovereignty by Turkish fighters near Alexandroupolis.”

At the same time, the Foreign Ministry notes that “this action is a very clear escalation of the Turkish provocations”.

According to the announcement, by order of the Minister Nikos Dendias, the Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Themistoklis Demiris, made a direct and strict protest to the Turkish ambassador here.
