A 26-year-old accused of raping a British tourist in Vonitsa was arrested

A 24-year-old British tourist reported she was raped by a 26-year-old Greek man in Palairo in the municipality of Akti, Vonitsa, resulting in the arrest of the alleged perpetrator.

According to the announcement issued by the police, a local man was arrested at noon on Saturday, in the area of ​​the Municipality of Akti, Vonitsa, against whom a criminal case was filed for rape. “In particular, according to a complaint by a foreign woman, the accused forced her into sexual intercourse the day before yesterday morning, by exercising physical violence”, states the Police press release, adding that the arrested person will be taken to the District Attorney of Lefkada.
