Turkey: “Of course we will invade the Greek islands”!

"The rooster crows over there and we can hear it"

Newsroom December 13 01:42

Turkish professors, journalists and analysts in Turkey follow Erdogan’s rhetoric and speak directly either of striking Greek targets with the Tayfun missile, or of an operation against Greek islands because they are…”under their noses”.

The professor of the Altinbas University’s Strategic Research Department, Erai Gützluer, spoke of an “invasion” of the Greek islands, because – according to him – they hear on their Turkish shores the roosters of the Lesvos…

Speaking on a the mainstream channel CNN Turk, Gützluer spoke directly about Turkey’s operation against Greece. “But of course we will invade. But is it possible that there are islands right in front of our noses? But it’s right in front of our noses. The rooster crows over there and we can hear it” he stated.

Last June, he had asked for the “blockade of the Greek islands” by Turkish forces, as a reaction to their militarization by Greece.

Answering a question from the journalist Gyozde Seker, if Turkey receives the American F-16s, will the “imbalance” with the Hellenic Air Force (HAF) be lifted, he “corrected” her, saying that there is no issue of superiority of the Greece.

“First of all, regarding public opinion, the news about Greece’s air superiority must disappear. At the moment, together with drones, in reality Greece does not have air superiority,” he commented…
