DiCaprio uses private jet to appear at green fashion awards in LA clocking up 12k air miles in two weeks – Hypocrite or not?

What do you think?

Newsroom March 10 04:43

Leonardo DiCaprio has proven to be something of an eco-hypocrite once again for heading to a green fashion event in LA after clocking up 12k air miles in two weeks while enjoying nights out with numerous models.

The actor, 48, posed alongside leaders in sustainable fashion and activism while attending the Green Carpet Fashion Awards on Thursday.

But it comes as he has travelled between the US and cities such as London, Milan, and Paris over just two weeks- accumulating over 12,000 miles of travel.

While it is not yet known how the travel was made, the eco-activist has previously come under fire for his use of gas-guzzling private aircraft.

Heading to the awards night this week, Leonardo looked smart as he made a rare stop for photographs at the event, which was held at the Neuehouse Hollywood.

Donning a suave navy suit for the appearance, he smiled alongside the Minister of Indigenous Peoples of Brazil, Sonia Guajajara, in the winners’ room.

A host of stars headed to the annual Green Carpet Fashion Awards, with Heidi Klum, Cate Blanchett, and Jodie Turner-Smith hitting the red carpet with style.

Despite his usual tendency to avoid the cameras, the Shutter Island actor was happy to stand alongside Sonia for some pictures.
