The Indian Navy took part in a joint naval exercise with the Hellenic Navy in the Aegean Sea in a move to strengthen the ties between the two countries.

The Indian Navy’s Kolkata class destroyer ship INS CHENNAI was at Souda Bay in Crete on 27-29 July and held exercises with the Greek Navy in the Mediterranean and Aegean Seas.

The INS Chennai, a stealth design Kalkuta class guided missile destroyer of the Indian Navy, teamed up with the frigate Nikiforos Fokas for an exercise in the Aegean Sea. This exercise, held on July 29, strengthens the close ties, mutual trust, and seamless coordination between these two navies, the Indian Navy said.
