Newsroom September 28 11:29

A helicopter has crashed in northern Evia on Thursday.

Initial reports indicate that the helicopter was a civilian A-109 and was en route from Madoudi to Volos when it suddenly lost contact with the Air Force.

According to an eyewitness, the helicopter, while in the air, began to take a strange angle, and a few minutes later a crackling sound was heard.

“The helicopter crashed on Achladiou beach in front of my house,” the mayor of Mantoudi told ERT earlier in the day.
