Students from the Greek Community of Melbourne (GCM) were awarded for their participation in the competition for the AHMF in a ceremony held on Sunday, October 22nd, at the Memorial’s location (Domain Gardens), in the presence of members of the AHMF, sponsors, and veterans.

The Greek-Australian Memorial is located in Melbourne and was created to honour those who served and those who lost their lives in the two World Wars, reaffirming the commitment of both nations to freedom, democracy, and peace.

The goal of the competition was for students to explore the involvement of Australians and their collaboration with Greeks in the First and Second World Wars, as well as to gain a broader understanding of the creation and symbolism of the Memorial.
