Strong rainfall began to affect Attica shortly after midnight, as meteorologist Giannis Kallianos had predicted.

The severe weather express started from the west.

As he mentioned, the strongest storms will occur until tomorrow afternoon, in areas of the Ionian Islands, the Peloponnese, eastern Central Greece, including Attica, in Evia and the Cyclades, in Crete, and the Dodecanese.

Regarding Attica, he emphasized that “after midnight, we will have strong rains and storms in most areas,” adding that it will be a widespread phenomenon.

“We expect a temporary improvement from Monday afternoon, but temporary because we expect again rain and storms on Thursday – Friday,” Mr. Kallianos said.
