The US announced yesterday, Thursday, the imposition of restrictions on the movements of its personnel in Israel and their family members as a precautionary measure, for security reasons, amid concerns that there would be retaliation from Iran for the bombing attributed to Israeli armed forces on the Iranian consulate in the Syrian capital.

“Preemptively, employees of the U.S. government and their family members are not allowed to travel outside the areas of Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, and Beersheba until further notice,” states a directive released by the U.S. Embassy in Jerusalem.
