A total of 73 agroforestry fires broke out in the last 24 hours, according to the fire brigade.
Of these, 70 were dealt with immediately, at their initial stage, while firefighters are still tackling three more.
The local investigative offices, as well as teams of the Arson Investigation Department are investigating the causes of the fires.

The Fire Brigade appeals to all citizens to be particularly careful and in case of fire, for their own safety, to strictly follow the instructions of the competent authorities.
