Greece: Over 50 arrests for the murder of police officer Lingeridis

A large police operation has been underway since morning - Searches are being conducted in various locations and houses

Α police operation has been underway since morning for the arrest of individuals believed to be involved in the death of police officer Giorgos Lingeridis, who lost his life after being severely injured by a naval flare thrown by a hooligan outside the Melina Mercouri Stadium in Rentis.

According to information from police sources, more than 50 people have been arrested on the spot as part of the investigation, with the police simultaneously conducting searches in various areas and homes to locate further evidence.

According to the same sources, the Hellenic Police are searching for a total of approximately 60 individuals, while around 150 individuals are included in the case file that has been formed.
