According to an announcement by the Ministry of Culture, the archaeological site of Sounion will remain closed to visitors on Friday 26/4, from 9.30 (opening hours) to 15.00, due to an event in the context of the Olympic Torch Relay.

“In application of conditions 2 and 3 of paragraph H of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism’s Decision No. 170071/16-4-2024 (ID: 6ΩBΦ46NKOT-7H5), on Friday 26 April 2024, the Archaeological Site of Sounion will be closed to visitors from 9. 30 (opening hours) until 15.00 due to the holding of an event in the framework of the Olympic LAMPADORUM of the XXIII Olympic Games “PARIS 2024”.
