Greek Parliament: Konstantinos Floros arrested for attack on Vasilis Grammenos of Elliniki Lysi (Greek Solution)

Independent MP Konstantinos Floros was arrested by police for assaulting Eliniki Lysi (Greek Solution) MP Konstantinos Floros, in parliament. Floros currently faces charges under Article 157 of the Penal Code for violence to a member of parliament. Konstantinos Tassoulas stressed that such violence could lead to 10-year imprisonment. Floros’ attack prompted Tassoulas to suggest a 15-day ban from parliamentary activities. Grammenos, meanwhile, was hospitalised.

Konstantinos Floros released with restraining order after his statement for Parliament assault

Greek Solution sources claim the attack was unprovoked, denying prior insults. Kyriakos Velopoulos denied Floros insulting Grammenos’ mother, stating he would have intervened if it occurred.

Parliament President Konstantinos Tassoulas ordered Floros’ removal and proposed a 15-day suspension, citing “bestial behavior.” Floros interrupted Velopoulos’ denouncement, claiming justification for his attack. Tassoulas ordered Floros’ arrest.

Witnesses described Floros persistently cursing Grammenos about insults to his family.
