Greek Cup: The final at Panthessaliko is without fans – From 30 invitations to Panathinaikos and Aris

A request will be made to the Ministry of Citizen Protection to raise the number of invitations to 300

Newsroom May 14 03:36

The meeting held at the offices of the EPO on the subject of the presence of people in the final of the Greek Cup was completed without any change in the initial decision that existed during the previous meeting, that is, there will be no people in the stands.

The Hellenic Football Federation and the two finalists of the final, Panathinaikos and Aris, agreed to take only the minimum number of invitations provided, i.e. 30 for each side, and to make a request to the Ministry in case this number exceptionally rises to 300.

The EPO made it clear that neither will its sponsors receive invitations.

Aris initially suggested that cameras be installed and that the game be played with a crowd and that the two finalists and the municipal authority share the costs, but both the EPO and Panathinaikos were against this possibility, since there is no longer the necessary time frame for this work to be done.

The Greens then proposed that the match be played with each side getting 30 invitations, the minimum allowed, with the EPO and Aris countering by suggesting that a special permit be applied for from the ministry to make 300 invitations, but the trefoil was negative, as the stadium does not meet the requirements.
