Schinias: Black-clad body recovered after 20 days at sea, foul play suspected

Newsroom June 4 01:07

Video footage has emerged showing the recovery of a deceased male in the waters off Schinias. The black clothing on the body suggests the victim may have been a victim of foul play. Authorities estimate the man, believed to be around 45 years old, had been in the water for at least 20 days.

The autopsy is currently underway at the Athens Forensic Service,  where its expected to provide answers to the mystery surrounding the body recovered from the beach of Dhikastika in Schinias on Sunday afternoon. Meanwhile, homicide detectives are closely examining a tattoo found on the deceased. According to reports, the tattoo, located on the young man’s leg, could be linked to specific criminal groups.
