The day for Coldplay’s big concert in Greece has arrived. The world-famous band is coming to Athens tonight, June 8 and tomorrow, June 9, to fill the Olympic Stadium with hundreds of thousands of people.

Although the doors of the OAKA open at 17:00 and Coldplay are expected to take to the stage shortly after 21:00, fans have already started to form a queue outside the stadium.

Despite the high temperatures, fans who will be attending the concert from the arena have been waiting in line since the morning, so that when the doors open, they can claim a seat as close to the stage as possible.

A reporter from “Studio with View” met groups of both Greeks and travelers from other countries, who have stocked up on food and water and are waiting.

They are wearing their hats, goggles and sunscreen and have taken their place in the queue.

“This is the second time we have gone and we thought now we would experience it close to the stage. Hat, glasses, sunscreen, complete,” said one fan.

It’s a concert full of messages of love and protection of the planet, with part of the proceeds going to ocean cleanup and other environmental causes. It is a concert for all ages, for young and old, it is educational and, of course, it has a tremendous energy which is carried by the band to the arena and the stands, causing a delirium of enthusiasm.

The members of the band ask the audience, instead of plastic bottles, at the concert to take along canteens and fill them in fountains that will be placed in conspicuous places.

He even suggests fans to prefer the metro instead of the car to get to the stadium. They further recommend that people avoid backpacks and large bags and only carry small bags.
