Ilia: The 37-year-old man tried to rape the 11-year-old girl, once she said “I will tell my parents” he chased and killed her

The girl also had defensive wounds as she tried to escape - After throwing her lifeless body into the reeds, he went home and slept

Newsroom June 11 11:07

The confessed killer of the minor in Ilia proceeded to admit that shortly before he killed the 11-year-old girl he attempted to have intercourse with her.

According to information, the perpetrator allegedly admitted before the police that he wanted to have intercourse with the minor, she refused and when he told him that he would tell her parents, he attacked her with a screwdriver and killed her, causing wounds to her chest and back.

“I suggested that we have intercourse. She reacted and refused. She said she would tell her parents and I killed her with the screwdriver I had in the car,” he allegedly claimed.

Well-informed sources, speaking to protothema.gr, said the child had defensive wounds on her hands. It is therefore concluded that the perpetrator attacked the 11-year-old and she tried to defend herself in any way she could without unfortunately succeeding. After the murder the 37-year-old dragged her body and threw it into the reeds.

He then returned home and went to bed as if nothing had happened, while the next day he went to work as normal and began to pretend that he was anxious about the fate of his niece.

He was “betrayed” by the video

Recalled that the countdown to the arrest of the perpetrator began when the police officers of the Security Tower located video footage, which showed the girl on the day she disappeared, to come out of his house and run into a car that had stopped near the house of his grandfather.
