Life in the Olympic Village in Paris: Shops with French Baguettes, Game Rooms, and Cocktail Bars

"It's like a camp, but for adults," commenters say

Newsroom July 26 08:40

Olympic Village

The opening ceremony of the Olympic Games is today, but most delegations have already arrived at the Olympic Village over the past few days. Thousands of athletes are there, and many have posted videos to show the world what it’s like to live there. The most characteristic comment is that it resembles a “camp, but for adults.”

In a video posted by Irish boxer Jennifer Lehane, it is shown that there is a boulangerie with fresh baguettes, croissants, and other French treats and pastries. There is also a game room with foosball, electronic games, and many other activities to pass the time. The video also features a kiosk of a well-known coffee brand where athletes can get their drinks for free.

Moreover, there is an impressive room with special lighting designed for athletes to relax before their events or whenever they need some peace.

In the outdoor area, there are various spots with games reminiscent of camp activities, a PhotoBooth, and even a cocktail bar (serving non-alcoholic drinks).
