Kasselakis: What you see is not a pool, but a well and reservoir – Proto Thema: First time seeing a well with…loungers!

Incredible response of the president of SYRIZA to the revelations - The pool that everyone sees in videos and photos everyone says was a tank and a well with a depth of 1.40 meters that ... calmed down

Newsroom August 3 09:04

Unbelievable response from the SYRIZA president to the revelations – The pool that everyone sees in videos and photos, he claims, is a beautified reservoir and well.

The president of SYRIZA, Stefanos Kasselakis, in a post on social media, after repeating the usual and hackneyed lies about Proto Thema, gives a truly incredible response. He claims that the pool at his house in Spetses is the result of beautification work on an old reservoir and well. He further asserts that because his pool is shallow, with a depth of 1.40 meters, it is neither illegal nor unauthorized, although he does not wholeheartedly support this claim in his evidently awkward announcement.

Mr. Kasselakis, as the leader of the main opposition, committed a truly unprecedented violation. He built a pool in a designated traditional settlement in Spetses with a permit for minor repairs. This permit neither mentions the construction of a pool nor could it, as it is categorically prohibited by the 1981 Presidential Decree and the 2016 Council of State decision. Unless what we all see with our eyes at his house is not a pool but a reservoir and an old well with loungers!

See the permit from the Piraeus Building Service for “minor scale works” at Mr. Kasselakis’ house. Nowhere does it mention a pool or even “beautification” works in the outdoor area. Even for these works, a permit would be required:

What Stefanos Kasselakis Responded

Mr. Kasselakis stated in his post: For the “pool” (1.40 meters deep) at my house in Spetses, in May 2023, I asked my engineers to submit all relevant documents to issue all renovation work permits for the house. During these works, cleaning and restoration of the surrounding area (yard) were carried out, highlighting and beautifying an old water reservoir, which had been in the same exact location for decades (along with a well). No EXCAVATION was done. So, the “revelation” is a bust.
