Newsroom August 19 07:34

On Monday morning, Health Minister Adonis Georgiadis attended the swearing-in ceremony of 35 new nurses at the “Evangelismos” hospital. He emphasized that “while others only find problems, we will provide solutions.”

Georgiadis visited the “Evangelismos” hospital on the morning of August 19 to attend the swearing-in of 35 new nurses beginning their careers at the hospital. He noted that “ten days ago, another 73 nurses were sworn in, and by the end of the month, a total of 165 nurses will have been sworn in.”

Following the ceremony, the Health Minister visited all Emergency Departments, where he spoke with staff and patients. In a social media post, Georgiadis highlighted that the goal in the coming months is to have a new, better Public Health System at all levels, and he expressed confidence that this goal would be achieved.

Georgiadis’s Social Media Post:

“This morning, I went to ‘Evangelismos’ to attend the swearing-in of 35 new nurses starting their careers at this important hospital. Ten days ago, another 73 nurses were sworn in, and by the end of the month, a total of 165 nurses will have been sworn in.

This will practically strengthen the hospital’s workforce, allowing us to operate more surgical rooms and better serve our patients in all departments and during emergencies. While others find only problems, we will provide solutions.

We also took the opportunity to visit all Emergency Departments with the hospital management. We spoke with employees and patients about the issues they face.

My major goal for my term is to reduce waiting times during emergencies as much as possible, provide better and faster care for patients, and enhance infrastructure. Renovation projects for the Emergency Departments at Evangelismos will start soon. Our goal in the coming months is to have a new, improved Public Health System at all levels. And we will succeed.”
