Weather Forecast for Friday

The weather will remain inconsistent across most of the country on Friday, featuring afternoon clouds, showers, and even local thunderstorms.

According to the EMY forecast, local showers and thunderstorms are expected in the Ionian Sea from the morning. Clouds and local rain are forecast for mainland areas after midday, while the weather on the islands will remain mostly clear.

Temperatures will hover around 35°C, reaching 36°C in some mainland regions, while lower temperatures are expected on the islands.

In Attica, we anticipate generally fair weather with occasional clouds during midday and afternoon hours. In Thessaloniki, thin clouds are expected to thicken during the midday and afternoon hours.

EMY Weather Forecast for Friday

General Conditions:
In the Ionian Sea, local showers and thunderstorms are expected in the morning, primarily in the north. Thin clouds will gradually thicken across the mainland, and during the afternoon and evening hours, local rain and isolated thunderstorms will occur, mainly in the northern mountains. The weather will generally remain clear in other island areas.
Visibility may be locally limited in the west during the morning and evening hours.
Winds will be light and variable, with north-northwesterly winds in the Aegean reaching 4 to 6 Beaufort.
Temperatures will remain steady, reaching up to 34°C in northern mainland areas, 34-35°C in other mainland regions, locally rising to 36°C, while island temperatures will range from 30°C to 33°C, with southern Crete, the eastern Aegean islands, and the Dodecanese reaching up to 34°C.

Macedonia and Thrace
Weather: Generally fair with some cloud cover.
Winds: Variable at 2-3 Beaufort, with easterly winds up to 4 Beaufort in the east.
Temperature: 17°C to 34°C, with western Macedonia slightly cooler by 3-4 degrees.

Ionian Islands, Epirus, Western Sterea, and Western Peloponnese
Weather: Thin clouds on the mainland will gradually thicken, bringing local rain and isolated thunderstorms in the mountains of Epirus and western Central Greece during midday and afternoon hours.
Winds: Variable at 3-4 Beaufort, later shifting to westerly with similar strength.
Temperature: 20°C to 34°C, up to 32°C on the islands, and 4-5 degrees cooler inland in Epirus.

Thessaly
Weather: Light clouds will thicken in the afternoon and evening, bringing local rain and isolated thunderstorms in the mountains.
Winds: Variable at 3-4 Beaufort.
Temperature: 18°C to 36°C, and in the Sporades, 23°C to 31°C.

Attica
Weather: Generally clear with occasional clouds during midday and afternoon hours.
Winds: Variable at 3-4 Beaufort.
Temperature: 20°C to 35°C.

Thessaloniki
Weather: Light clouds thickening in the midday and afternoon, with local rain expected in the surrounding mountainous areas.
Winds: Variable at 2-3 Beaufort, occasionally increasing to 4 Beaufort in the afternoon.
Temperature: 20°C to 34°C.

Outlook for Tomorrow (Saturday)

The weather in the north will be partly cloudy with local rain and isolated thunderstorms, mainly during midday and afternoon hours. The rest of the country will experience generally clear conditions, with some local clouds over the eastern mainland, Sporades, and Evia during midday and afternoon, where local rain and isolated thunderstorms are possible in the mountains.

Visibility may be locally limited in the west during the morning hours.
Winds in the east and south will blow from the north at 3-5 Beaufort, reaching up to 6 Beaufort in the Aegean. Elsewhere, variable winds will prevail at 3-4 Beaufort, with northwesterly winds up to 5 Beaufort gradually taking hold in the Ionian Sea.
Temperatures will dip slightly, especially in the north, with highs ranging from 29°C to 31°C in northern mainland areas and from 32°C to 34°C in the rest of the mainland and island regions.
