USA: “When we tell you to do something, you’ll do it” – Dramatic arrest of NFL player after police stop

The incident began when police stopped NFL player Tyreek Hill for speeding, leading to a tense altercation that ultimately resulted in his arrest

Newsroom September 10 08:20

The situation unfolded on Sunday, and the events were captured by a body camera worn by one of the officers involved in the stop outside the Hard Rock Stadium. The officers initially stopped Hill for a speeding violation.

In the footage, officers approach Hill’s vehicle and knock on his window. “Hey, don’t hit my car window like that,” Hill is heard saying, to which an officer tries to explain. Hill then demonstratively rolls up the window.

This action appeared to escalate the situation, as moments later, one of the officers opened the car door and pulled Hill out of the vehicle.

“When we tell you to do something, you do it. Understand? Not when you want to, but when we tell you. You must be confused,” one of the officers can be heard saying.

The footage shows Hill being forced to the ground and handcuffed by the officers.

According to ESPN, Hill was cited for reckless driving and not wearing a seatbelt before being released.

Speaking to NBC News, Hill remarked, “Who knows what would have happened if I wasn’t who I am. In the worst case, I could have been shot or taken to jail over a speeding ticket.”

In a statement, the Miami Dolphins, Hill’s team, condemned the officers’ behavior and defended the player.

Meanwhile, the Miami-Dade Police Chief announced that a thorough investigation would be conducted into the incident.
