Metron Analysis Poll: ND at 29.8% in Vote Estimate, SYRIZA Falls to Fifth Place with 9.5%

Governing party exceeds European election results, PASOK secures second place with a rise – Greek Solution ranks third at 10.9% – KKE follows with 9.7%, while SYRIZA drops to 9.5% – Inflation remains the "number one" issue for citizens

Newsroom September 12 08:51

SYRIZA is now the fifth party according to the vote estimate from the Metron Analysis poll presented by Mega this evening. The main opposition party continues to decline compared to its June performance in the corresponding poll. New Democracy (ND) remains above its European election result, with its percentage nearing 30%, while PASOK is rising and appears to have secured second place.

Specifically, in the vote estimate, ND gathers 29.8% compared to PASOK’s 15.7%, followed by:

  • Greek Solution at 10.9%
  • KKE at 9.7%
  • SYRIZA at 9.5%
  • Voice of Reason at 5.4%
  • Plefsi Eleftherias at 5.3%
  • Niki at 4.4%
  • New Left at 2.6%
  • MeRA25 at 1.8%
  • Spartans at 1%.

In the voting intention, ND garners 22%, with PASOK following at 11.6%, while SYRIZA ranks fifth, having lost nearly 4 percentage points compared to the June poll. The undecided vote stands at 11.8%.

Inflation Remains the Top Concern for Citizens

Inflation continues to be the “number one” issue for citizens, although the percentage of respondents choosing it has noticeably dropped compared to the June poll. The economy ranks as the second spontaneous answer, while healthcare, particularly with the ongoing discussions about the National Health System (ESY), appears to be a major concern for respondents.

The pessimism and anxiety about the country’s trajectory are also evident in this new Metron Analysis poll, where seven out of ten citizens believe that Greece is heading in the wrong direction. This figure has increased by six points since June. Only 23% believe the country is on the right path.
