Elon Musk – Georgia Meloni: The backstory of love is in the air between them at the Atlantic Council

It was the Prime Minister of Italy who asked for the millionaire to be the one to present her with the award at the Atlantic Council event

Newsroom September 25 08:12

The conversation between Elon Musk and Georgia Meloni during the Atlantic Council’s Global Citizen 2024 Awards in New York City, at which Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis was honored, generated much discussion.

“She’s even more beautiful on the inside than she is on the outside,” said the owner of X and Tesla introducing the Italian prime minister, with Georgia Meloni retorting by calling Musk a “precious genius.”

The South African billionaire had other compliments for Meloni, saying she is “genuine, honest and kind-hearted. Something we can’t always say about politicians.”

Love is in the air, Politico commented, with the New York Post adding that when Musk gave Meloni the award, “the two seemed to momentarily look each other in the eye.”

According to Politico, it was the 47-year-old Italian politician who asked for the award to be given to her by the 53-year-old billionaire.

Meloni and Musk sat side by side at the Atlantic Council dinner and had a heated discussion as seen in a video posted on X.

Italy’s prime minister and the Tesla owner have already met several times recently, with their first meeting taking place at Meloni’s home in Rome in June 2023.

Elon Musk had also spoken last December at a political event of Meloni’s “Brothers of Italy” party.

It will be recalled that Meloni is now on her own following her split last autumn from Andrea Giambruno while Musk has 12 children by three different women, the latest being the one he had with the Neuralink executive in January.
